SEO SPECIALIST ROLE

 

The SEO Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing search engine optimisation strategies to improve website visibility, increase organic traffic, and enhance overall online presence. This role requires a deep understanding of search engine algorithms, analytics, and digital marketing best practices.


Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development and Implementation
  • Develop comprehensive SEO strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Conduct thorough keyword research to identify valuable search terms and opportunities
  • Implement on-page and off-page SEO tactics to improve search engine rankings
  • Technical SEO: Perform technical SEO audits to identify and resolve website issues affecting search performance
  • Optimise website structure, URL architecture, and internal linking for improved crawlability and indexing
  • Collaborate with web developers to ensure implementation of SEO best practices
  • Content Optimization:Work with content creators to develop SEO-friendly content that aligns with target keywords and user intent
  • Optimize existing website content, including meta tags, headings, and body copy
  • Develop and execute link building strategies to acquire high-quality backlinks
  • Performance Analysis and Reporting: Monitor and analyse website performance using tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as organic traffic, keyword rankings, and conversion rates
  • Prepare regular reports on SEO performance and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Industry Trends and InnovationStay updated on search engine algorithm changes and industry trends
  • Research and implement new SEO techniques and tools to maintain competitive advantage
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, content, and web development teams to ensure cohesive SEO efforts
  • Educate internal teams on SEO best practices and their importance in overall digital strategy


Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in SEO or digital marketing roles
  • Proven track record of improving search engine rankings and organic traffic
  • Strong understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors
  • Proficiency in SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, and Ahrefs
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
