National Sales Manager POSITION DESCRIPTION

Head of Sales Role

 

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of sales processes, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets. This role requires strategic thinking, effective communication, and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Sales Strategies: Create effective sales strategies that align with the company’s objectives and market trends.
  • Lead Sales Team: Supervise and motivate a nationwide sales team to achieve individual and collective sales targets.
  • Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain productive relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
  • Negotiation and Closing: Negotiate contracts and close agreements with large customers to maximize profits.
  • Performance Monitoring: Analyse performance metrics and provide actionable insights for improvement.
  • Sales Forecasting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts to inform strategic planning.
  • Market Research: Identify new market opportunities and potential customers through thorough research.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing and Product Development teams to ensure brand consistency and support product launches.
  • Training and Development: Mentor team members to enhance their skills and effectiveness in selling.


Qualifications

  • Experience: Proven work experience as a National Sales Manager or similar role in a high-performance sales environment.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite; strong analytical skills to interpret sales performance metrics.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to negotiate effectively.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong team management capabilities; experience in mentoring and coaching sales representatives.
  • Availability: Willingness to travel as required.
