Awards Rates 2020 Update

In the light of COVID-19 the The Fair Work Commission has announced that not all Awards will be increasing on 1 July as is customary.

Effectively grouping industries into “clusters” most effected by the pandemic, awards will be increasing on either 1 July 2020, 1 November 2020 or 1 February

2021 depending on sector.

Many of SMAART Recruitment clients fall under the Contact Call Centres Award 2020 or Clerks—Private Sector Award 2020 which have both had their increase delay until 1 November 2020. Wages will increase by 1.75% after 1 November.
